Do you accept insurance?

Authentic Perspectives Counseling is a private pay, out-of-network practice. We do not bill insurance directly.  Clients who have out-of-network mental health benefits may still be able to use their insurance. We partner with Thrizer, a secure platform that helps eligible clients submit claims for possible reimbursement, making the process easier and more streamlined. Superbills are also available upon request.​You may also contact your insurance provider to understand your deductible, coinsurance, and out-of-network coverage.​Many clients value working with a therapist without third-party limitations or interference.​Benefits of Private Pay​Freedom to Choose Your ProviderYou are not restricted to insurance panels and can work with a counselor aligned with your goals and values. Enhanced PrivacyInsurance companies often require diagnoses, treatment details, and progress reports. What are your fees for service?

Comprehensive Intake & Assessment: $299/session (90 mins) required for all new patientsIndividual Therapy Sessions: Pay-As-You-Go: $130/session* (45 min) Extended Individual Therapy session– $162.50/session* (60 mins)Direct Care Mental Health Model (annual membership required)$95/session*(includes 12 sessions, 50 mins, includes member benefits) Online Group Therapy $45-$75 based on the type of group  ​*Minimum three sessions. Authentic Perspectives Counseling & Wellness Center is a private pay practice and is considered Out of Network (OON) with most insurance providers.​We currently accept:Cash Payments (via Zelle or CashApp)Credit & Debit Cards paid through Stripe (including HSA/FSA cards)Foundation Vouchers – Accepted from organizations such as The Loveland Foundation.  Clients using Foundation vouchers are require to pay the balance of clinicians sessions fees.  (i.e., Foundation Voucher $120, Clinician fees $130*, client will pay $10 per session) Clients with out-of-network benefits may use Thrizer to assist with reimbursement.  Check your co-pay below using our benefit checker ​Use our instant benefit checker to confirm eligibility and co-pay. Do you accept reduced-fee clients?

Yes. A limited number of reduced-rate sessions are available per year.  If you qualify, you may receive therapy at a significantly discounted rate, typically ranging from $70 per session.We also offer quality care for high-performing women ages 22-34,  through Bloom & Become Therapy Access.  Schedule a free consultation to learn more.​Please note: Authentic Perspectives Counseling & Wellness Center is not affiliated with Open Path. Why do all clients need a credit card on file?

For business purposes outlined in your intake paperwork, a valid credit card must be kept securely on file throughout the duration of services. This policy ensures timely and consistent payment for sessions, cancellations, and any agreed-upon services rendered.

Your information is stored in a secure, HIPAA-compliant system that protects your confidentiality and meets the highest industry standards for data security. Your card will only be charged in accordance with the financial terms outlined in your consent forms.

After discharge, and once your account is in good standing with no outstanding balances, your card information will be removed from our system.

If your card is declined for any reason, you will have 48 hours to update your payment method. If no valid card is provided within that time frame, your account may be suspended or closed until payment is resolved.

Is there new client paperwork to complete?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once your client intake forms are forms are complete you will receive a link to request a new client appointment.

Appointments remain pending until all required intake paperwork is submitted, reviewed, and, if you are a private pay client, a valid payment method is received and approved. This helps us confirm that we’re a good clinical match before moving forward.

Payment Notice:

To verify your card, we may authorize a small amount at any time between scheduling and your first appointment. If the card is declined during this process, your appointment will be automatically canceled. This applies to all new private pay clients.

Question 11

How long do I have to complete the intake paperwork?

Accepted Answer

You will have 72 hours from the time the paperwork is sent to complete all required forms. If your paperwork is not completed within this timeframe, your file will be closed.

Will I have to pay anything before my first session?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you are a self-pay or private pay client, payment for the full intake session is required in advance. The comprehensive assessment rate is $299, for a 90-minute session unless you’ve been approved for a reduced fee. In that case, you’ll be required to pay the agreed-upon rate. The client is also responsible for a $100 one-time administrative fee, which will be deducted from first session should client join membership within 30-days of comprehensive assessment.

Your appointment will not be approved until payment has cleared. This process may take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. If payment is declined, you will be notified via email and given 24 hours to update your payment method. If not resolved within that time, your file may be closed.
 
If you are using insurance, you will not be required to pay in advance; however, any applicable co-payments or fees will be shared with you before your first appointment and must be agreed to in writing.

Can I use my insurance for reimbursement through Thrizer?

Yes. Typically, you would need to call your insurance company to verify your benefits, submit your superbills through complicated insurance portals, and then wait for a check in the mail.
